Privacy

What we collect, in plain language.

Short version: very little, and we'll tell you when that changes.

What this site does

TierGauge is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Every page is pre-rendered HTML. There is no login, no account system, and no form submission flow at this time.

What we collect

  • Server logs. Cloudflare records standard request metadata (IP address, requested URL, user-agent, timestamp) for every visit. These logs are operated by Cloudflare under their privacy policy and are used for security, rate limiting, and basic traffic analysis.
  • Analytics. We do not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party JavaScript analytics. If we add privacy-preserving analytics in the future (Plausible, Cloudflare Web Analytics, or similar), this page will be updated before deployment.
  • Cookies. The site itself sets no cookies. Cloudflare may set security and rate-limiting cookies as part of its CDN; those are operational, not tracking.
  • Email signups. None at the moment. If we launch a newsletter, signup will be opt-in and the privacy terms of the email provider will be linked at the point of signup.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links to vendors are affiliate links. Clicking one may set a tracking cookie on the vendor's site so that any subsequent purchase you make is attributed to TierGauge. We never share data with affiliate partners about who clicked the link; the cookie is set by the vendor's tracking system, not by us.

Affiliate links are tagged with rel="sponsored" in the HTML.

Embedded content

Currently we do not embed third-party widgets (no YouTube embeds, no Twitter/X embeds, no comment systems). The only third-party request from page load is the Google Fonts CDN for typography. We plan to self-host fonts to remove that dependency; until then, the Google Fonts privacy policy applies to that single request.

Updates

This policy will be updated whenever we add a feature that collects user data. The current page is dated by the most recent commit to the site repository.
